Whatever you'd like to eat, in as formal or informal an atmosphere as you prefer . . . the mood and the meal are up to you, for there's something for everyone here in the Poconos, in the way of dining out.

You can settle for ocean-fresh seafood or pastas with homemade sauces; for a king-sized sandwich or a Polynesian cocktail; for pizza or shrimp or for dishes from yesteryear or tomorrow.

When you dine out in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, you can decide for yourself whether it will be an experience to be remembered (that takes a little extra time, but, of course, the time is worth it!) or an eat-quick so we can run off to the next funspot. The choice is yours.

There are Chinese, Cantonese, German, Hungarian, Italian, Continental, American and Picnic type dining spots . . . so that you may choose among foods with names like Lobster Soong, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Sauerbraten with Potato Dumpling, Chicken Paprikash with Spaetzles, Veal Parmigiano, Boeuf Borguignon, Turkey with Oyster Dressing, or a Cheeseburger. How's that for a choice?

Dining in the Poconos is a particularly pleasing pastime . . . or necessity . . . depending upon how you regard this three-a-day "outing" into the world of fine foods. You have such a wide selection of cuisine, so many choices from varied menus, and such pleasant surroundings, that it makes the whole ambrosial adventure a Very Important Part of your vacation in the Poconos.

An idea for any visitor in mountain country: take the "Dining in the Poconos" listing with you on your daily sight-seeing outings, and select the place you'd like to try among the dining spots wherever you go.
